Actress Priyanka Chopra, who is currently in Australia filming her upcoming project The Bluff, made a delightful visit to Paradise Country on the Gold Coast, where she encountered a baby koala named after her. The surprise left her visibly astonished.
During her visit, Chopra shared a series of photos and videos on social media, showcasing her casual outfit consisting of a grey coat, a baseball cap, and jeans, with her hair styled in a bun. In one clip, she and her friends were introduced to the adorable 8-month-old koala, with an official revealing its name, Priyanka. Her reaction was one of disbelief as she exclaimed, “Are you serious?” before expressing her gratitude and posing for a photo with the tiny marsupial.
In her Instagram post, Chopra wrote, “An 8-month-old koala joey named after me!! So sweet. Thank you @paradisecountrygc for the lovely surprise and for introducing us to the most amazing wildlife. Meerkats, koalas, kangaroos, Tasmanian devils, and dingos! Thank you for all the work you’re doing for wildlife conservation in Australia. Magical Sunday afternoon.”
The actress also took the opportunity to interact with other native animals, including meerkats and kangaroos, and praised the conservation efforts at Paradise Country. Her post quickly went viral, attracting numerous likes and comments, including a sweet note from her husband, Nick Jonas, who commented, “You’re cute,” along with a heart-eye emoji.
On the career front, Chopra recently completed filming for Heads of State and is involved in a documentary titled Born Hungry, further showcasing her diverse career in the entertainment industry.
