Elon Musk recently highlighted the United States as a “land of opportunity” by sharing statistics on median household income across various ethnic groups. According to a census report, Indian-Americans in the US reported the highest median household income at $119,858.
The infographic, based on the US Census Bureau data, presented Indian Americans as having one of the highest median annual household incomes, followed by other ethnic groups in the US as Taiwanese, Chinese, and Japanese Americans. As per the data, Pakistani Americans ranked fifth in this table with a median household income of $77,315.
This data underscores the success of Indian-origin individuals in America, who hold prominent positions in various fields, including Vice President Kamala Harris, Google CEO Sundar Pichai, and Microsoft head Satya Nadella. This data reflects the enormous contribution made by the Indian Americans to the economic success of the USA.
