Pooja Nansi conferred knighthood by France for promoting French arts and culture in Singapore

Indian-origin writer Pooja Nansi along with Chinese-ethnic theatre director Ivan Heng were recently honored with the prestigious Knights of the Order of Arts and Letters by the French Ministry of Culture. This recognition celebrates their significant impact on cultural cooperation between Singapore and France.

The award was presented by the Ambassador of France to Singapore Minh-di Tang at the Residence of France in the presence of Edwin Tong, the Minister for Culture, Community and Youth.

Notably, the Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres is the highest merit of the French order, bestowed upon individuals who have made noteworthy contributions to the arts, literature, or the propagation of these fields. The award is a wonderful recognition of their dedication to strengthening cultural ties between France and Singapore.
