United Senior Pariwar, Chicago (USPC) celebrated its 16th Anniversary on Saturday, 15th of June 2024 at Manav Seva Mandir, Bensenville IL. The program was graced by Chief Guest Shri Sanjeev Kumar Pal, Consul from Consulate General of India, Chicago office and the Guest of Honor Shri Mafatbhai Patel (Chairman of Trustee Board and Owner of Patel Brothers), Dr. Bharat Barai (Trustee), Dr. Dhiren Mistry (Trustee) Shree Ramanlal A Patel (Ex-President of USPC) Shree Narsinhbhai Patel (Ex-President of Indian Seniors of Chicago, MSM), Shree Dilipbhai Patel (President of Indian Seniors of Chicago) Mrs. Hema Shastri (President of Dev Darshan Senior Center), Shree Bhailal Patel (Ex-President of FIA), Shree Dahyabhai Prajapati (Secretary of FSC), Mrs. Vandana Jhingan (TV Asia), Mr. Amar Upadhyay (Secretary of OFBJP), Mrs. Usha Kamaria (Community Leader).
The celebration began with the birthday felicitation of members, who were born in June. Everyone greeted them and the celebration started with Deep Prajwalan performed by Consul Sanjiv Kumar Pal, Mafatbhai Patel, Dr. Bharat Barai, Dr. Dhiren Mistry, Ex-President Ramanlal Patel, Shree Virendra Patel President of USPC, Shri Rohitbhai Joshi (Vice President of USPC), Shree Ramesh Chokshi (Secretary of USPC), Shree Kiritbhai Pandya (Treasurer of USPC). Shree Acharya Rohit Joshi gave his blessing with prayer according to Hindu rituals. Shri Rameshbhai Chokshi gave a welcome speech and requested Shri Rohitbhai Joshi to commence the Swagat of Guests. Shri Rohitbhai Joshi introduced the chief guest and guest of honor and invited them to share a few words with the audience.
Shri Sanjeev Kumar Pal (Consul) expressed his appreciation for the invitation to attend the program and offered his best wishes on behalf of the Consulate General Of India, Chicago Office. He highlighted the growth of USPC in the last 16 years and wished USPC to grow even more and offer services to seniors and help them. Shri Mafatbhai Patel greeted the audience with Namaste and asked them to continue to organize programs like this and live their life gracefully. Dr. Bharatbhai Barai conveyed his blessings and offered to assist any senior citizen who needs any guidance to make their trip to Ram Mandir in India devoid of any hardships.
Dr. Narsinhbhai Patel expressed his happiness in attending the program and advised all the seniors to be happy and take care of their health for a worry-free lifestyle and continue to attend the senior group regularly. Shri Virendrabhai Patel addressed the audience after he had invited all the Executive Committee members onto the stage with VIP guests. He elaborated a perfect vision and future goals for the USPC. He added further that people in our community require help more as emotional support than financial support and our senior group must come forward to provide these services.
USPC recognized its founders of the senior Group, Shree Haribhai Thakkar, Shree Ramanbhai S. Patel and Shree Kanubhai H. Patel, and presented them with Samman Patra. The musical program was performed by well-known artists of Chicago Shree Rajesh Chalam, Mrs. Nipa Shah, Ms Pavitra Anand, with music composed by Hitesh Master, Anand Master, Richard Kristian, Gopal Shah from 7:00 PM to 11 PM. The entire audience enjoyed and was pleased with the musical performances. Many of the seniors even participated in the dance performance.
As soon as Shree Hitesh Master performed an old famous song “O Duniya ke Rakhwale” from the movie Baiju Bawra, the entire audience felt extremely delighted. Secretary, Shri Rameshbhai Chokshi performed and enacted the wonderful action of Movie star Shri Bharat Bhushan. At the end of this song, President Shri Virendrabhai Patel took off his hat (Paghadi) in admiration of Hitesh Master’s talent. As per Indian tradition, Shri Virendrabhai Patel recognized Hitesh Master’s talent by felicitating him with a Shawl and the entire audience gave a standing ovation at this moment.
In the end, Treasurer Shri Kiritbhai Pandya expressed a vote of thanks to all the guests, vendors, sponsors, artists, executive committee members, volunteers, and members. Thereafter, everyone enjoyed the delicious food catered by Uru Swati Restaurant of Devon, Chicago.
