Reliance Foundation and the Indian Olympic Association have partnered to set up the first-ever India House at the 2024 Paris Olympics. This facility spread out in a 40,000 square-foot space showcases Indian culture to the world during the biggest sporting event and also serves as a “home away from home” for Indian athletes and their families.

From cuisine to music, textiles to jewelry, the India House will embody India’s determination for success across all endeavors, particularly in the realm of sports. This marks the first time the Indian contingent will have a dedicated hospitality house at the Olympics, a historic milestone.

Reliance Foundation, principal partner of the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) and non-profit arm of Reliance Industries, is set to host the first-ever India House at this year’s Paris Olympics, which takes place between 26 July and 11 August.

This will be the first time that the Indian contingent will have a dedicated hospitality house in the Olympics, which had first taken place in 1904.

The JSW Group was to set up an India House at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, which ultimately had to be scrapped as the event took place in a bio-bubble due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In 2022, the Reliance Foundation and the Indian Olympic Association announced for the first time to set up India House at the Paris Games.

“There will be yoga sessions every morning for the locals to attend. India House will be surrounded by other country-specific hospitality houses from France, Canada and the Netherlands. We have also planned to showcase mallakhamb sport to the locals, which was a demo sport at the first-ever Olympic Games in 1904,” said P T Usha, IOA President.
