Grand Success of Ohmkara’s “Gamtilu Gujarat” with Poet Ankit Trivedi and “Swarotsav” in the USA

As part of the 10th year of Ohmkara’s establishment and to celebrate Gujarat Divas in the USA, Ohmkara once again organized a successful Gujarati Kavya and Sugam Sangeet – Gamtilu Gujarat from April 27 to May 12, 2024, in five states of the USA. The musical and literature/ humor concerts were held in Red Bank, Edison, Toms River, NJ, Charlotte, NC, Atlanta, GA, Kansas City and Chicago which were enjoyed and applauded by thousands of Gujaratis.

Under the leadership of well-known business entrepreneur, community leader and self-less individual Pinakin Pathak of Ohmkara, a U.S. based entertainment group and his dedicated team of members planned this wonderful musical concert in the U.S. Ohmkara’s mission is to promote Indian culture, heritage and music without any political, personal or religious interest or promotion. A five-member team is dedicated to only one mission of uniting people through music and India’s rich culture and heritage especially in Gujarati communities worldwide.

Team Ohmkara and Ankit Trivedi received a state proclamation from the New Jersey State Senator Vin Gopal which was presented by Red Bank Mayor Billy Portman on April 27, 2024, at the Ritesh Shah Charitable Pharmacy annual Gala event in Red Bank for their contributions to promoting language, art and Indian culture in the USA.

Through the theme of “Gamtilu Gujarat” with renowned Poet Ankit Trivedi of well-known program of Swarotsav in India and their wonderful and talented team of singers and musicians mesmerized the audience for more than three hours of pure entertainment. This was the sixth time when Ohmkara organized a Gujarati musical concert nationwide to promote Gujarati music and literature. This was one of the high-energy Gujarati music concerts where the most famous and popular songs from seven decades of Gujarati and Hindi languages were sung under one roof which was applauded by the audience.

The versatile Gujarati music legend late Shree Avinash Vyas’s evergreen and famous songs were performed along with famous songs of the two living legends of Gujarati music and “Bhishma Pitamah” Shree Gaurang Vyas and Shree Purushottam Upadhyay were the highlights of the evening. The young, talented and dynamic singer Dhruvish Shah and veteran singer Divyang Anjaria, along with talented musicians Ritesh Upadhyay, Hitesh Master, Richard Christian and Gurinder Negi performed some of the famous old and new religious, romantic and folk numbers like “Maniyaro te halu halu”, “Tane jata joi pangat ni vate”, “Pankhida ne aa pinjaru”, “Chhel Chhabilo Gujarati”, “Tu Garam masaledar khati meethi vanagi”, “Dhuni re dhakhavi” and Garba-Raas melodies with more than 50 original Gujarati songs and some of the famous Hindi songs beautifully sung in presence of the house-full audience in several cities of the USA.

Kavi Ankit Trivedi’s versatile compering with tremendous Gujarati language command and orating skills were praised by many who attended. He kept the audience in sync for more than three hours with his humor and masterclass of poetry. The crowd was chanting ‘once more’ with continuous claps and singing together for hours. Many praised the event and requested Ohmkara team to organize these fascinating events in the future, also. As always, all Gujaratis united under the name of “Gamtilu Gujarat” with Ohmkara and Swarotsav to organize such events outside of India. Ohmkara team under the leadership of business entrepreneur and selfless community leader Pinakin Pathak and his dedicated team members, Dr. Tushar Patel, Deepak Trivedi, Nishil Parikh, and Kalpana Mehta worked diligently to plan this event. The team promised to organize a mega concert under “Swarotsav” theme in 2025 with multiple renowned artists.
