Former PepsiCo CEO Indra Nooyi has offered valuable advice to Indian students studying in the United States. In light of recent tragic incidents involving Indian students, she emphasizes the importance of safety, security, and responsible behavior.

Indra Nooyi has advised them to:

Stay Watchful – urging students to be vigilant and aware of their surroundings. Being watchful can help prevent unfortunate situations.

Respect Local Laws: It’s crucial to adhere to local laws and regulations. Avoid engaging in any activities that could lead to trouble.

Avoid Drugs and Excessive Drinking: strongly advising against experimenting with drugs or excessive alcohol consumption. These behaviors can have serious consequences.

Nooyi, who is potentially the most powerful and influential business executive globally, gave away an over 10-minute long video advising Indian students coming to the US to stay safe and alert and to avoid activities that can land them in trouble. On Thursday, the video was posted on X by the Consulate General of India in New York.

“The reason I’m recording this video is to talk to all of you, all you young people who are looking to come to the United States or are here already pursuing your studies, because I’ve been reading and listening to all the news about several examples of Indian students finding themselves in unfortunate situations,” Nooyi, 68, said in the video.
