NJ Verbal Vortex Speaking Tournament Invites K-12 Students to the Stage

Students of all ages can shine their voices this March, over St. Patrick’s Day weekend

Power Speakers Unlimited is hosting the second annual weekend speaking tournament, Verbal Vortex, on Saturday, March 16th, and Sunday, March 17th.

Students from kindergarten through twelfth grades are welcome to join the tournament and will be speaking and judged on three topics: Poetry Recitation, Impromptu Speeches, and Prepared Speaking.

The preliminaries will take place on March 16th, from 12:30 pm to 5:30 pm at Prince of Peace Church in West Windsor, NJ, where participants can showcase their speaking skills and qualify for the grand finals. The grand finals will be held on March 17th, from 11:30 am to 4:30 pm at the Center for Modern Aging in Princeton, NJ, where the top participants from the preliminaries will compete for the championship titles.

Students can register on the Power Speakers Unlimited website for the event.

Power Speakers Unlimited offers K-12 year-round programs, faculty training workshops, leadership and entrepreneurship development courses, interview preparation classes, seasonal camps, and competitive youth events.

Power Speakers Unlimited, founded by TEDx Speaker, Taruna Ramani, believes that “Public speaking is an art – it’s about painting a vivid picture with your words, sculpting powerful emotions with your voice, and crafting a memorable experience with your presence.”
