Indian student in Canada dies from Cardiac Arrest

Shaik Muzammil Ahmed, an Indian student in Canada, has been reported dead due to a cardiac arrest. The 25-year-old student hails from Hyderabad.

Ahmed was studying in Ontario and pursuing his master’s degree in IT from Conestoga College, Waterloo Campus. Upon learning of his death, Ahmed’s family in Hyderabad have reached out to the Ministry of External Affairs and EAM S Jaishankar to help bring his mortal remains back to India.

The same was shared by Amjad Ullah Khan, a leader of the Telangana-based political party, Majlis Bachao Tehreek (MBT), through the social media platform ‘X’.

According to Khan, Ahmed had been battling a fever for the past week. However, the family received a distressing call from Ahmed’s friend that he had died due to cardiac arrest. He also posted the letter by the student’s family requesting EAM Jaishankar for help.

This incident comes amidst growing concerns for the safety and well-being of Indian students studying abroad.
