Indian-American Physician Dr. Mukul Arya to Receive Global Healthcare Leader of the Year Award

Worldwide Community First Responder, Inc. (WCFR) will honor distinguished gastroenterologist and healthcare leader Dr. Mukul Arya, MD, with its inaugural Global Healthcare Leader of the Year Award during the organization’s 15th Anniversary and Fundraising Gala.

The celebration will take place on Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM, at Hotel Nyack–JDV by Hyatt in Nyack, New York.

Dr. Arya is being recognized for his professional excellence, commitment to advancing healthcare, and dedication to creating a positive impact within the communities he serves. He recently completed the prestigious Harvard Medical School Global Healthcare Leaders Program alongside WCFR Founder and President Dr. Jacqueline Cassagnol.

“Dr. Arya exemplifies the visionary leadership, compassion, and global perspective needed to strengthen healthcare systems and improve lives,” said Dr. Cassagnol. “We are proud to recognize him as WCFR’s first Global Healthcare Leader of the Year.”

The award will be presented by acclaimed restaurateur and entrepreneur Roni Mazumdar.

The evening will also recognize the Arya Family Foundation and Unapologetic Foods as Premier Sponsors of the gala. Their generous support will help WCFR continue its mission to prevent deaths worldwide through education and training.

WCFR’s anniversary gala will bring together healthcare professionals, business leaders, philanthropists, and community advocates for an evening celebrating service, leadership, and humanitarian impact.
