Veteran journalist Ashok Tandon’s book launched at an LA event

A special meet and greet with Ashok Tandon, a seasoned Indian journalist and political commentator, was organized by community members here recently.

Bhai Sahib Satpal Singh Khalsa introduced Ashok Tandon at the gathering, highlighting his longstanding acquaintance since his college days. Leading Indian American Rajendra Vora Founder and president of Jain Social Group Beverly Hills joined Overseas Friends of BJP P K Naik, Kewal Kanda, and various community members in welcoming Tandon. As a token of love, Rajendra Vora presented a gift to the veteran journalist.

Tandon has been a media advisor to Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, since 2014, and has previously served as the in-charge of Media Relations in Prime Minister Atal Bihari Bajpayee’s PMO, holding the rank of Additional Secretary.

Tandon addressed the audience, emphasizing their role as ambassadors of India. He urged them to actively promote India, envisioning the country’s ascent as a world leader and superpower. He further encouraged the audience to engage and educate the youth to dispel misconceptions about India’s progress.

The event featured the launch of Tandon’s book “Reverse Swing: From Colonist to Cooperation,” which was launched by Bhai Sahib Satpal Singh.

The evening concluded with a lively question-and-answer session with Ashok Tandon, who graciously answered numerous questions from the engaged audience. The afternoon served as a platform for meaningful discussions and reflections on India’s global standing and the collective role of the Indian diaspora.

The event was sponsored by Bhai Sahib Satpal Singh Khalsa, an ambassador of Sikh Dharma and the chairman of Guru Ram Das Sikh Mission of America.
