This Christmas season, the International Assembly of God, Warren spread joy and goodwill as they conducted carol services by visiting 45 families in Michigan. The church took the opportunity to not only bring festive melodies to the doorsteps but also to share the timeless message of the significance of the birth of Jesus during a Christmas program organized at the church on December 16.
The carol services, organized by the International Assembly of God, witnessed a dedicated group of around 50 volunteers going door to door, filling the air with Christmas carols in different languages. The Christmas special had several programs geared to celebrate the joyous occasion and instill the purpose of Christmas in the hearts of the hearers.
Pr. Charles Chandy, the pastor of International Assembly of God, expressed his enthusiasm about the outreach initiative, saying, “Christmas is a time of sharing about the true meaning of Christmas—the birth of Jesus Christ and the hope He brings to our lives. This hope and joy was the fuel that warmed the hearts of the volunteers during the cold winter to sacrifice their time and energy.”
The church members used the opportunity to engage with the families they visited during the carols and those who visited the church for the Christmas program, sharing the historical event of Jesus’ birth and the message of hope, love, and redemption that accompanies it.
Each household received a warm greeting, a festive carol, and a brief but powerful message about the importance of Christmas. In addition to the musical performances and messages, the church distributed small tokens of goodwill, such as Christmas cards and small gifts, to further spread joy and love.
The International Assembly of God’s initiative to conduct carol services and the Christmas program highlights the importance of community outreach during the holiday season. In a world often filled with hustle and bustle, such efforts serve as a reminder of the true meaning of Christmas and the significance of coming together to celebrate love, hope, and joy.
