‘Indian Seniors of Chicago’ organized an annual event at the Manav Seva Mandir in Bensenville village near Chicago on December 9, 2023. On this occasion, dignitaries of Gujarati society including Chhotalal Patel, Dr Bharat Barai, Dahyabhai Prajapati, Rajubhai Chauhan, Bhailal Patel, Dr Bhagvanji Meghpara, Ramanbhai Patel and more than 400 members were present.
Hirabhai Patel, Secretary of the group presented the welcome note and gave detailed information about the ‘Indian Seniors of Chicago’ group. Bhupendra Suthar and Panna Shah, emcees requested special guest dignitaries to come on stage for Deep Pragatya which was complemented with chants sung by Rohitbhai Joshi.
Executive members of the group and the president of the group, Narsinhbhai Patel honored the guests with flowers. Dr Bharat Barai presented his ideas for public awareness in his speech.
A feast of solo and duet songs by Saregama group delighted the entire audience. The sponsors of the program were felicitated with gifts and roses by Dilip Patel. Jayanti Oza (News Media Journalist, appreciated for news coverage) and Jagurti Patel were also felicitated with gifts and roses for distinguished services. The Executive Committee members of Indian Seniors of Chicago and Chief Guest, Mr Chhotalal Patel were called on stage for a photo. Mr Chhotalal and Mr Narasinhbhai gave a beautiful and enlightening address to the guests. Prof Navinbhai Patel, an active member of the Executive Committee, thanked everyone. Chittaranjan Desai and Hasumati Patel felicitated the members of the musical group with gifts and roses and thanked them.
In the second part of the program, singers and musicians presented a colorful show. The members danced to the rhythm of the music wearing crowns of LED lights on their heads and had fun. At the end, there was a lot of cheer with patriotic song and flag of India. In the end, Group President Narsinhbhai Patel thanked all the members for making the annual program a success. Music entertainment was provided by ‘Saregam and Nupur Sound group, a combination of newer songs performed Bollywood’s songs for ISC members singer Hitesh Master, Darsna Patel, Mihir Acharya and Radhika.
