Congressman Tom Suozzi has endorsed Dilip Nath for NYC City Council in the 24th district special election on February 2, 2021. Nath is running in a crowded field and already has the support of key elected officials and groups including Former Councilwoman Elizabeth Crowley, Assemblywoman Cathy Nolan, State Senators John Liu and Roxanna Persaud.

“I am proud to endorse Dilip Nath for NYC Council because he is a smart, dedicated and hard-working advocate for Queens. As the founder of the New American Voters Association, Dilip Nath has registered thousands of new voters and helps them get more involved in their communities and neighborhoods. This is the same commitment Dilip will bring to City Hall and help tackle the big problems facing New York City” Suozzi said.

“I am honored and proud to have the support of Congressman Tom Suozzi.  Tom is a true fighter for his constituents and never waivers in his support of new immigrants, the tough issues facing working men and women, and a better quality of life for all. I look forward to serving the people of Queens with his leadership model in mind.” said Nath.

Dilip Nath is a Bangladeshi immigrant who arrived in Queens at the age of 16. He is the founder and President of the New American Voters Association, and has sat on Community Board 8 and local PTA groups.
