Gujarati Society of Southern California hosts Garba in Los Angeles

The Gujarati Society of Southern California hosted a Garba in Cerritos College gymnasium. The singers of Garba Night were young and talented Rythum Shashtri and Mosami Shah. Members of the Gujarati Society reside all over Southern California. GSSC hosts many unique events for the community. After the blessings of its Founder and Philanthropist couple B.U. Patel and Chairwoman Pushpaben Patel Garba were started.

It was Saturday night and you may call it a hip fashion show also. The attendees’ outfits were colorful as well as conventional in fashion. Now more and more younger generation in America has started participating and learning heavily about every Indian festival and culture. Such a second generation of American Indians enjoyed GSSC Garba Night. Garba styles of young participants were unique and if it was judged by any Bollywood Choreographer, then the first word from their mouth might be WOW.

After the first break, all the artists and the talented team members were honored with the proclamations. From Gujarati Society G S Zala, Gayatriba Zala, Jawahar Shah, Lata Ahir, Rajendra Vora, Nalini Solanki, and Jagdish Purohit worked very hard to make it a very successful Garba Night. Parimal Shah and Yogi Patel were instrumental in procuring the venue and honor.

It was a memorable Garba night and Angelenos thanked organizers for hosting such festivities and hence keeping our Indian culture alive in the Western world.
