India’s legendary musician A.R Rahman has completed 30 years of his musical career in 2023, and musical events are being held to celebrate this milestone in US. Recently, a musical event was organized by the Indian American Association of Houston, to mark this momentous occasion and celebrate the story of a generation.
This series of musical events is known as Dil Se –Rubaroo with A.R. Rahman, and Stafford Center Performing Arts Theater and Convention Center at Houston hosted a mesmerizing and soul-stirring musical event on Friday, June 2, 2023.
Dil Se… Rubaroo with A.R. Rahman is a description of the great musician’s story and a generation that thrived on Rahman’s music, feeling the vibes of love and sheer joy of soul-stirring sensations. Making his music, use of technology, and films touching every human being’s life in the world. Dil Se is an audio-visual-based infotainment program in Hindi with a rich mix of music, drama, and dance. This program is a tribute to Rahman, the maestro, and his contribution to Indian music and Hindi movies, bringing alive his precious memories in a musical treat to the audience.
Rahman is famous for his timeless songs such as Haye Rama, Yeh Haseen Vaadiyaan, and Tu Hi Re, with reverberating music. He is one of the most popular musicians in India and has given many hit numbers which continue to stir happy emotions across generations. He has earned many names like Mozart of Madras and Isai Puyal, meaning a musical cyclone owing to his musical genius and extensive contribution to films and stage productions.
