Indian Consulate hosts 100th episode of Mann ki Baat in presence of Dr S Jaishankar and Ambassador Taranjit Sandhu

The Consulate General of India in New York, in collaboration with Federation of Indian Associations (NY-NJ-CT-NE) and other community organizations, hosted the broadcast of the 100th episode of ‘Mann Ki Baat’ for members of the Indian American community in New Jersey during a special event on April 29-30, 2023.

Ambassador Taranjit Singh Sandhu joined the gathering of Indian community members at the special community event along with External Affairs Minister (EAM) Dr. S Jaishankar, Senator Kevin Thomas, Assemblywoman Jenifer Rajkumar and Edison Mayor Sam Joshi.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that the community members are attending the event as they share a bond with the Prime Minister who has connected the world to India and in many ways India to the world.

On the occasion, the 100th episode of Mann Ki Baat by Prime Minister was telecasted LIVE. Young students from Mallakhamb Federation displayed their agility through exceptional performances. Master Ishaan Tangirala also presented a song on Millets considering that 2023 is being celebrated as ‘International Year of Millet’. EAM unveiled the special logo of ‘India day Parade’ with the theme of ‘Mission LiFE’. The parade would mark the conclusion of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations in New York.

The 100th episode of ‘Mann Ki Baat’ was also broadcast live on the Radio Zindagi Network across the US from East to West Coast. Radio Zindagi is the biggest South Asian radio network in North America.

The States of New York and New Jersey issued special resolutions honoring the 100th episode of the Prime Minister’s monthly radio program. The resolutions were presented to the External Affairs Minister at the event in New Jersey.

‘Mann Ki Baat’ has served as a unique platform for the Prime Minister to directly address the people of India and listeners across the world, including the Indian American community in New York State, and share his thoughts and ideas on various issues of national and international importance.
