The song, which has already created history by winning the ‘Best original Song’ award at the 80th Golden Globes, is now all set to be performed at the Oscars by singers Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava. The award ceremony is to be held on 12th March this year. Both of them will be traveling to Los Angeles’s Dolby Theatre to perform the pacy number for the 95th Oscars.

Composed by M M Keeravani, the song has already won hearts internationally at the 80th Golden Globes this year, being the first Indian song to win in this category. Garnering 122 million views on YouTube and inspiring huge number of reels, Naatu Naatu has hooked audiences all across the world.

South Korean Ambassador to India, Chang Jae-bok posted a 53-second rendition of the song on Twitter, which has already clocked more than 4.8 million views and gained the attention of Prime Minister Modi too, who found it ‘lively and adorable team effort.

Naatu Naatu created sensation due to its catchy tune and energetic dance moves by actors Ram Charan and NT Rama Rao Jr. The song was shot at the Mariinskyi Palace, which is Ukraine’s Presidential Palace in Kyiv, just a few months before the war broke out between Russia and Ukraine.

Recently, Alia Bhatt, in her first performance post delivering her child, gained huge applause, when she performed Naatu Naatu in an award ceremony in Mumbai. Alia was also part of this blockbuster movie released in 2021. This is the second time an Indian song is to be performed at the prestigious Academy awards after the legendary Jai Ho made its debut at the Oscars stage.
