Aamir Khan’s latest movie Sitaare Zameen Par has been released on his YouTube channel titled – Aamir Khan Talkies today on August 1st. The Bollywood star made the special announcement on July 29th that the film would be available on YouTube for people to watch only for Rs 100.
However, some social media users have complained ahead of the film’s release that the ticket price on their apple devices reflects that they will have to pay Rs 179 to watch the movie contrary to what Khan has said. The production house of the movie, Aamir Khan Productions took notice of these complaints and have addressed the issue.
The production house posted a story on his Instagram account stating that they didn’t have the idea about the situation and apologise for the trouble it has caused. They have stated that they are working to resolve the issue and will get it fixed as soon as possible.
They shared a post on Instagram Stories. It read, “Our sincere apologies. We just became aware that the cost to rent our film Sitaare Zameen Par is reflecting as Rs 179 on Apple devices. We are trying to resolve this issue as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience and understanding.”
Bollywood Superstar, Aamir Khan has started this new venture as he is releasing his movie not on OTT platforms but rather on YouTube with a ticket price. Khan has stated that he wants to provide budding directors, who are struggling to show their films in theatre, a platform where they can release their films and earn as well.
The ticket of the movie will be priced at Rs 100 and will be valid for 48 hours. If a person fails to watch the movie within the given time frame, they will have to pay more to access it.
