Omar Abdullah yesterday, on July 31st, posted some photos from his recent trip to Gujarat’s Kevadia while he was on his visit to the Statue of Unity. PM Modi took notice to his visit and took to his social media account to express the joy he felt seeing Mr. Abdullah enjoying his time in Gujarat.
“Kashmir to Kevadia! Good to see Shri Omar Abdullah Ji enjoying his run at the Sabarmati River Front and visiting the Statue of Unity. His visit to SoU (Statue of Unity) gives an important message of unity and will inspire our fellow Indians to travel to different parts of India,” PM Modi wrote on X.
CM Abdullah also took to his X handle to speak about his visit to Ahmedabad for a tourism event. He stated while he was there he decided to go for a morning run at Sabarmati River Front along with several other runners.
Omar Abdullah wrote, “While in Ahmedabad for a tourism event I took advantage of being here to get my morning run at the famed Sabarmati River Front promenade. It’s one of the nicest places I’ve been able to run & it was a pleasure to get to share it with so many other walkers/runners. I even managed to run past the amazing Atal Foot Bridge.”
The Statue of Unity is the world’s tallest statue, standing at a magnanimous 182 metres. The statue is dedicated to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the first Home Minister of the country. The statue is situated near Ekta Nagar, previously known as Kevadia, in Narmada district.
