On July 1, Jaishankar Ganesh, Ph.D., officially joined New York Tech as dean of the School of Management. He had been with the Rutgers School of Business-Camden, part of The State University of New Jersey. Attributing his decision to join New York Tech, was influenced by the university’s visionary leaders, asset mix of schools and colleges, and locational strength with campuses in New York and Vancouver. “Successful leaders in academia today are those who understand and respect tradition, but also those who help to enable change. I see that ecosystem for innovation and change in place at New York Tech and want to be part of its vibrant, dynamic culture,” said Ganesh.
As a member of the senior academic leadership team, Ganesh will provide academic, administrative, strategic, and financial leadership for the School of Management. His primary responsibilities include managing and generating new resources for the school and engaging external constituents to raise visibility and reputation; recruiting, developing, and retaining talented faculty and staff; and overseeing and implementing a comprehensive curriculum review while working closely with faculty to support a culture of student success across all School of Management programs on the New York City, Long Island, and Vancouver campuses.

At New York Tech, Ganesh will focus on running and growing the School of Management and amplifying its value to students.
Ganesh joined Rutgers School of Business-Camden in 2010 as dean and professor of marketing, serving as dean until 2019.
Prior to Rutgers, he was associate dean for six years in the College of Business Administration, University of Central Florida (UCF). He was also a visiting assistant professor in the Department of Marketing and Entrepreneurship at the University of Houston. He earned a Ph.D. in marketing and international business and an M.B.A. in international business from the University of Houston.
