Illinois witness the creation of a new chapter from HWN

Hindu Women’s Network (HWN), inspired by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad of America (VHPA), has recently announced setting up its new chapter at the Manav Seva Mandir, Bensenville, Illinois. More than 75 individuals from diverse fields of engineering, medical, dental, science, accounting, and homemakers assembled to witness the event.

“We were blessed to have community representations from several other community groups,” as per Hindu Women’s Network. The vision, mission, goals, and roadmap of the organization were discussed and presented at the event. HWN’s core team comprising Vandana Jhingan, Kruti Patel, Pinu Dhruna, Sadhana Shinde, Sushma Patel, Seema Verma, and Yashaswini Desai deliberated and explained their critical initiatives to the attendees.

Artistic director of Mudra Dance Academy’s Kshama Shah presented a scintillating performance about Lord Durga Sakthi, displaying the power of women empowerment. Vandhana Jhingan, the Midwest bureau chief of TV Asia emphasized upon the audience to invest their time together, unite women’s power, support each other, and build a powerful network by selflessly engaging in volunteering programs.

Dr. Jayashree Raju of Hoffman Estates, Illinois, presented tips on good health, diet, and lifestyle. She exerted everybody to undertake annual health checkups, focus on diet, and exercise daily. Attorney Laxmi Sarathy, a prominent member of the Illinois State Bar Association for commercial banking, collections, and bankruptcy section council, addressed and encouraged the gathered women to be financially independent.

Shailja Mehta, an IT professional at the launch said, “I enjoyed the HWN session and look forward to being an active part of this team. Eager to have Ayurveda/ healthy recipes, financial planning, knowledge sharing platform.” One more attendee, Seema Verma of Mundelein, said, “I would love to attend, learn, and contribute to Hindu Women’s Network, by networking and learning from each other.”
