Shree Santram Bhakta Samaj, USA celebrated its annual Guru Purnima Satsang on Sunday, August 9, 2026, at Old Bridge High School in Old Bridge, New Jersey, bringing together more than 1,000 devotees and satsangis from communities across the United States for a memorable evening of spirituality, devotion, religious music, community fellowship, and service. The gathering reflected the central philosophy of Shree Santram Mandir in Nadiad, India—“Janseva,” or service to mankind—and highlighted the organization’s longstanding commitment to spirituality, humanitarian service, and bringing families and devotees together.

Shree Santram Bhakta Samaj, USA was established in 1993, and its first Satsang was organized on July 3, 1993, in New Jersey to celebrate the auspicious occasion of Guru Purnima, with the blessings of Brahmleen Pujya Shree Narayandasji Maharaj of Shree Santram Mandir, Nadiad. Since its establishment, the Samaj has continued to organize Satsang and religious programs through the dedicated efforts of its members, volunteers, and devotees. Under the leadership, guidance, and blessings of Pujya Shree Ramdasji Maharaj, the ninth Mahantshree of Shree Santram Mandir, Nadiad, India, the Santram Bhakta Samaj has successfully expanded its spiritual and community activities throughout the United States. Today, Santram Bhakta Samaj activities are conducted in several major communities, including Atlanta, Dallas, Chicago, Charlotte, California, Boston, and Houston, bringing devotees together to preserve and promote the spiritual traditions and teachings of Shree Santram Mandir and Shree Sanatan Dharma.

The Guru Purnima celebration in Old Bridge began with an auspicious Mangla Charan Path of Shree Vishnu Sahastranaam Stotram Path Parayan, inaugurated by Pujya Shree Ramdasji Maharaj, Mahantshree of Shree Santram Mandir, Nadiad, India, through an online presentation. His participation and blessings provided a spiritual connection between the devotees gathered in New Jersey and the sacred Santram tradition in Nadiad. Following the opening prayers, the gathering continued with a live Satsang program featuring devotional Bhajans and religious music performed by Raj and Smruti Pandya and family. Their spiritual and musical presentation continued for more than three hours, creating an atmosphere filled with devotion, peace, and religious enthusiasm.

More than 1,000 attendees participated in the Satsang and enjoyed the devotional music, prayers, and fellowship. The program also included a special felicitation honoring Dr. Rashmiben Vinubhai Desai of California, a devoted follower of Brahmleen Saptam Mahant Shree Jankidasji Maharaj. Dr. Desai was felicitated by Meenaben Desai and Hemangini Amin, representing local devotees of New Jersey, in recognition of her devotion and association with the Santram spiritual tradition. The recognition added a special and meaningful moment to the Guru Purnima celebration and highlighted the importance of honoring devotees who continue to uphold the spiritual legacy and teachings of the revered Mahants and Gurus.

Shree Santram Bhakta Samaj organizes three major spiritual celebrations throughout the year at its various centers across the United States—Maha Purnima, Guru Purnima, and Diwali. These events provide devotees with opportunities to come together for prayers, Satsang, bhajans, religious music, spiritual activities, and community fellowship. The success of these celebrations is made possible through the spontaneous support and voluntary contributions of devotees. The Samaj does not solicit funding or donations; rather, devotees voluntarily provide contributions to help cover the expenses associated with individual Satsang events throughout the year. This tradition of voluntary service and community participation reflects the spirit of devotion and selfless service that has been central to the Santram movement for generations.

In addition to its religious and spiritual programs, Shree Santram Bhakta Samaj continues to emphasize Janseva—service to mankind—through humanitarian and community health initiatives. The organization and its dedicated volunteers have supported communities through a variety of service activities, including free health fairs, dental screening camps, flu vaccination programs, eye screening programs, and diabetes screening initiatives. These humanitarian programs reflect the belief that spiritual devotion should be accompanied by service to society and care for the health and well-being of others. Through these activities, Santram volunteers have provided opportunities for individuals and families to receive preventive health screenings, health information, and access to important community resources. The combination of spiritual activities and humanitarian service continues to distinguish the Santram Bhakta Samaj’s commitment to serving the broader community.

Following the three-hour Satsang and devotional program, Maha Prasad dinner was served to all attendees, allowing devotees and families to come together in fellowship and enjoy a meal following the spiritual celebration. The dinner was warmly enjoyed by the participants and provided an opportunity for devotees from different communities and parts of the country to reconnect, meet new friends, and share the spirit of Guru Purnima. The successful celebration was made possible by the dedicated efforts of numerous volunteers and devotees who contributed their time, energy, and service to organize and conduct the program. Their selfless efforts demonstrated the spirit of community service and devotion that has sustained Shree Santram Bhakta Samaj, USA for more than three decades.
