Yet, amid the packed sessions and celebrations, one moment stood out: Nita Ambani, Founder and Chairperson of the Reliance Foundation, receiving the AAPI Humanitarian Award on July 2nd, 2026. Speaking during her acceptance address, Ms Ambani said, “This weekend, America marks 250 years of its independence. On this joyous occasion, I am joined by Mukesh, our children, and the entire Reliance family in extending our heartfelt felicitations to all our sisters and brothers in America. I would like to propose, a new partnership between AAPI and Reliance Foundation to strengthen healthcare in India and serve humanity beyond borders – An India America Health Alliance. An alliance built on three commitments – Access, Capacity and Discovery. Three ways to turn diaspora pride into global impact and prove that medicine at its best has no borders.”
