Hombale Films has announced Mahavatar Parshuram, the second chapter in its planned seven‑part Mahavatar Cinematic Universe, following the release of Mahavatar Narsimha last year. The makers unveiled the first look and poster of the animated film on April 19, on the occasion of Parshuram Jayanti, and confirmed that it will hit theatres in December 2027.

The poster shows a fierce warrior holding a heavily blood‑stained battle axe in the middle of a battlefield, with the tagline “Where Patience Ends, the Axe of Parshuram Begins!” written underneath. The motion‑poster note adds, “When Dharma Falls, The Parshu Rise 🪓 Tanno Parshuram Prachodayat,” underlining the film’s focus on the warrior‑sage’s role in restoring righteousness. The story is based on Lord Vishnu’s Parshuram avatar, who takes birth to end the tyranny of corrupt and arrogant Kshatriya kings who abandon dharma and oppress the world.

Directed by Ashwin Kumar, Mahavatar Parshuram is presented by Hombale Films and produced by Kleem Production. It is positioned as a major part of the studio’s expanding mythological‑animation slate, with the creators planning up to seven films in the Mahavatar Cinematic Universe, each built around different avatars of Vishnu. While the full cast has not yet been revealed, the early announcement has already sparked strong interest among fans of mythological cinema ahead of its December 2027 theatrical release.
