The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced a record prize pool of Rs 82 crore for the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026. This marks a 10 per cent jump from the 2024 edition’s USD 7,958,077, about Rs 74 crore. The new total stands at USD 8,764,615.

The tournament will take place in England and Wales from June 12 to July 5. It features 12 teams for the first time, up from 10 last year, across seven venues. The final is set for Lord’s Cricket Ground.

Winners will pocket USD 2,340,000, roughly Rs 21.8 crore. Runners-up get USD 1,170,000, around Rs 10 crore. Losing semi-finalists earn USD 675,000 each, or Rs 6.29 crore. Each group match win brings USD 31,154, about Rs 29 lakh.

All 12 teams are assured at least USD 247,500. The rise comes from more teams and group games.

This big money push shows ICC’s commitment to women’s cricket. It comes as the trophy tour starts, with projections on Lord’s Pavilion and stops in Europe. Fans are excited for top battles in the UK summer showdown.
