Harry Singh Bolla, one of the most accomplished Indian American entrepreneurs in the United States and Chairman, President and CEO of the billion-dollar Bolla Oil Corporation, hosted a fundraiser for Nassau County Executive and Republican gubernatorial candidate Bruce Blakeman at Pearl Banquet Hall in Hicksville on Friday, October 16.

The gathering brought together prominent members and leaders of the Indian American community including Gary Sikka, President of the American Punjabi Society and Dr. Deepak Nandi. Joseph Cairo, Chairman of the Nassau County Republican Committee also attended the event.

Bolla’s remarkable journey embodies the quintessential American success story. Arriving in New York from a small village in Punjab, India, in 1983, at the age of 21, he transformed his entrepreneurial ambitions into one of the most successful Indian American-owned business enterprises in the region.

Beyond his extraordinary business accomplishments, Bolla has distinguished himself through philanthropy, community service, and support for initiatives benefiting Indian Americans and the broader community.

Expressing his support for Blakeman’s gubernatorial candidacy, Bolla emphasized the importance of economic opportunity, entrepreneurship, and public safety.

“I came to America with a dream and built my business through hard work, determination, and the opportunities this great country provided,” Bolla said.

“As someone who has spent decades building businesses and creating jobs, I appreciate the importance of policies that encourage entrepreneurship, support hardworking families, and promote economic growth. I believe Bruce Blakeman understands these priorities, and I am proud to support his candidacy for Governor of New York.”

Blakeman, who is challenging incumbent Democratic Governor Kathy Hochul in the November 3 election, has emphasized affordability, public safety, and economic development as major themes of his campaign.

The fundraiser also illustrated the growing participation of Indian American entrepreneurs in New York’s civic and political life, as successful immigrant business leaders increasingly engage with elected officials and candidates on issues affecting the state’s economic future.
