Ghanshyamsinh (GJ) Zala, President of the Gujarati Society of Southern California (GSSC), helped organize a special evening of spiritual inspiration and community fellowship at Sanatan Dharma Temple Hall in Norwalk, California.
Titled “The Art of Spiritual Leadership,” the program was presented by the Gujarati Society of Southern California (GSSC) and Indo American Senior Heritage (IASH), featuring the respected spiritual leader and inspirational speaker Dr. Gnanvatsaldas Swami Ji of BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha.
An Evening of Spiritual Inspiration and Fellowship
The evening brought together families, seniors and community members for dinner, fellowship and an inspirational lecture. Dinner was served from 6:00–7:00 p.m., followed by a meet-and-greet and Swami Ji’s lecture from 7:00–8:30 p.m. The program was presented in Hindi and Gujarati.

A highlight of the evening was the presentation honoring Dr. Gnanvatsaldas Swami Ji. The event was attended by prominent community leaders, including Manubhai Shah, CEO of MSI International, and B. U. Patel, Chairman of the Tarsadia Foundation, who joined other community members in recognizing Swami Ji and supporting the gathering.
Leadership Through Community Service
As President of GSSC, Zala continues to support initiatives that bring the Southern California Gujarati and Indian-American community together through culture, spirituality, service and fellowship. His longstanding commitment to community service reflects his dedication to strengthening relationships and creating meaningful opportunities for the community.
The October 4 gathering was a meaningful celebration of spiritual leadership, cultural heritage and community service, giving attendees an opportunity to connect, reflect and be inspired by Dr. Gnanvatsaldas Swami Ji’s message.
