Manish Srivastava Named Associate Dean at Michigan Tech College of Business

Michigan Technological University’s College of Business has appointed Manish Srivastava as its new associate dean, effective July 1. Srivastava, a professor of strategic management and innovation and holder of the David and Marilyn Bernard Endowed Professorship in Business, brings nearly two decades of experience at Michigan Tech to the leadership role.

In his new position, Srivastava will collaborate with College of Business Dean Sri Beldona on strategic initiatives and oversee graduate, certificate, and non-credit academic programs. His responsibilities will also include academic policy, Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) accreditation preparation, and other areas of academic administration.

Srivastava said he’s grateful for the opportunity to serve the College in an expanded capacity. “I look forward to working with Dean Beldona and our faculty, staff, and students to contribute to its continued growth and success,” he said.

Srivastava has been part of the leadership team for Michigan Tech’s Tech MBA and Master of Engineering Management programs since 2019. During that time, he helped introduce accelerated degree options, expand online education, and strengthen efforts related to student recruitment, success, curriculum development, assessment, and accreditation.

Recognized for his research on strategic management and technological innovation, Srivastava has published extensively in prominent academic journals, including the Academy of Management Journal, Strategic Management Journal, Strategic Organization, and Journal of Management. He has also contributed to editorial boards and held visiting academic appointments at institutions such as Virginia Tech, Umeå University in Sweden, and the Indian Institute of Management Lucknow.

Srivastava holds a PhD in strategic management from Virginia Tech, an MBA from Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology Allahabad, and a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the National Institute of Technology Durgapur.
