Reinforcing its commitment to community education and preventive healthcare, the GOPIO Central Jersey Chapter successfully hosted a highly informative Community Health Seminar on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at the elegant Royal Albert’s Palace. The seminar attracted more than 100 community members, who gathered to learn about the latest advances in cardiovascular health from one of the region’s leading heart specialists, Dr. Kintur Sanghvi, a renowned interventional cardiologist.
The evening’s keynote presentation, “From Prevention to Intervention: A Modern Approach to Cardiovascular Health,” was exceptionally well received by the audience. Dr. Sanghvi delivered an engaging and comprehensive presentation that translated complex medical concepts into practical, easy-to-understand information for people of all ages. Speaking in simple, layman’s terms, he emphasized the importance of prevention as the first line of defense against heart disease and discussed lifestyle modifications, healthy nutrition, regular physical activity, stress management, early detection, and timely medical intervention. He also highlighted the remarkable advancements in modern cardiology, including innovative diagnostic technologies, minimally invasive procedures, and lifesaving treatment options that have significantly improved patient outcomes. Throughout the presentation, Dr. Sanghvi encouraged participants to take proactive steps toward protecting their cardiovascular health through routine screenings and regular consultations with healthcare professionals. The seminar was expertly emceed by Sapna Mehta, Executive Member of GOPIO Central Jersey, who kept the program engaging and interactive throughout the evening. GOPIO Central Jersey President Nishith Mehta welcomed the attendees and provided a brief history of the Global Organization of People of Indian Origin (GOPIO), highlighting the organization’s worldwide mission of serving the Indian diaspora through education, community service, leadership development, and civic engagement. He reaffirmed GOPIO Central Jersey’s dedication to organizing programs that improve the health, knowledge, and overall well-being of the community.
Dr. Tushar Patel, Past President of GOPIO Central Jersey, introduced Dr. Kintur Sanghvi by recognizing his distinguished career, outstanding contributions to cardiovascular medicine, and unwavering commitment to patient care and public health education. At the conclusion of the seminar, Dr. Patel delivered the vote of thanks, expressing heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Sanghvi for sharing his valuable expertise and extending sincere gratitude to the attendees, volunteers, sponsors, media partners, and organizing committee whose collective efforts contributed to the tremendous success of the event.
