Prominent U.S. lawmakers, community leaders and advocates gathered at the Rayburn House Office Building on Capitol Hill to endorse the “War-Free World” movement championed by Peace Ambassador HH Acharya Lokesh Muni, founder of the Ahimsa Vishwa Bharti Foundation.
The event, held as part of the celebrations marking the 250th anniversary of the United States, was attended by multiple influential U.S. Congressmen despite there being no active voting session.
Those extending bipartisan congressional support for the global peace initiative included Congressman Brad Sherman of California, Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi of Illinois, Congressman Shri Thanedar of Michigan, Congressman Suhas Subramanyam of Virginia and former Congressman Joe Crowley.

The gathering brought together lawmakers, community leaders and advocates under the shared vision of peace, harmony and humanity.
A highlight of the event was the presentation of special awards by HH Acharya Lokesh Muni, alongside Congressman Shri Thanedar and former Congressman Joe Crowley.
Nitin Vyas, event coordinator, Public Relations Director of the World Vegan Vision organization and a key member of the Yoga Federation, was honoured with an award from the Ahimsa Vishwa Bharti Foundation for his leadership and dedication to organising the event.
The programme was arranged and managed by Ashok Bhatt, a hotelier and former Water Commissioner of California, while certified yoga instructor Nidhi Pandya served as the master of ceremonies.

In keeping with the principles of Ahimsa (non-violence) and compassionate living, the event featured a 100 per cent vegan menu prepared under the direct supervision of Nitin Vyas.
The movement also received support from the United States Yogasana Sports Federation Inc. and its New Jersey Chapter, led by Balwinder Singh and Nitin Vyas. They were joined by wellness leaders Nidhi Pandya, Poonam Gupta, Devi Balla, Geeta Patel and Dr. Anjum Nadaf, who formally endorsed the “War-Free World” vision.
Among the dignitaries in attendance were Anil Mongia, Chairman of the Ahimsa Vishwa Bharti Foundation USA; Karamjeet Dhariwal, President of the Ahimsa Vishwa Bharti Foundation USA; Harish Arora of Mogul Caterer; Piyush Patel; and other VIP guests.
The Ahimsa Vishwa Bharti Foundation thanked the congressional representatives, coordinators and attendees for making the peace event a success.
