Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan married his long-time partner Gauri Spratt in a private ceremony at his Bandra residence on Sunday, marking a new chapter in the actor’s personal life. The couple, who have known each other for nearly 25 years and been in a relationship for over two years, exchanged vows in the presence of close family members and select friends.
The low-key wedding was held at Khan’s Pali Hill home and was intentionally kept away from the media spotlight. The ceremony reportedly included the legal registration of the marriage, followed by a private celebration attended by around 150 guests, including family members from India and abroad. Khan’s children, Junaid, Ira and Azad, along with Spratt’s son, were present for the occasion.
Several well-known personalities were seen arriving to congratulate the couple, including filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker, actress Rhea Chakraborty and former India cricketer Irfan Pathan. Despite heavy monsoon showers in Mumbai, guests attended the intimate celebration.
Khan, 61, had confirmed last month that he and Spratt would marry on July 5 after publicly acknowledging their relationship earlier this year. He had revealed that the two first met in Bengaluru decades ago before reconnecting in 2023 through a family member, with their friendship eventually blossoming into romance.
This is Khan’s third marriage. He was previously married to Reena Dutta and later filmmaker Kiran Rao. Both former spouses have remained on cordial terms with the actor, who has often emphasised the importance of family and mutual respect.
