Acclaimed filmmaker Christopher Nolan and Hollywood stars Matt Damon and Tom Holland are set to visit India next month for the Mumbai premiere of their much-anticipated epic film The Odyssey, marking the first time a Nolan-directed movie will have an official premiere in the country. The event is expected to take place ahead of the film’s worldwide theatrical release on July 17, 2026.
The visit underscores India’s growing importance in the global film market and reflects the strong fan following Nolan enjoys among Indian audiences. The filmmaker will be accompanied by lead actors Matt Damon and Tom Holland, while producer Emma Thomas is also expected to attend the premiere. The Odyssey is Nolan’s adaptation of Homer’s ancient Greek epic and is among the most anticipated films of 2026. The movie stars Damon as Odysseus, the legendary king of Ithaca, while Holland plays Telemachus.
