Bollywood legend Madhuri Dixit, 59, has captured social media’s attention with her striking embroidered denim saree look during promotional events for her upcoming Netflix film Maa Behan. The actor shared photos from a promotional outing, and her custom ensemble has since gone viral online.
Styled by celebrity stylist Sukriti Grover, the outfit was custom-created by designer Mayyur Girotra. The six-yard saree blends denim with tissue appliqué embroidery, merging traditional Indian craftsmanship with contemporary modern aesthetics. The pre-pleated design features a neatly tucked front and shoulder-draped pallu, both adorned with intricate floral tissue appliqué work.
The saree’s base is light blue denim, while the embroidery incorporates gold, green, light pink, and dark pink hues, adding vibrant color pops against the denim. Madhuri paired it with a blush pink silk blouse featuring a V-neckline, half-length sleeves, cropped hem, and tailored silhouette. Gold threadwork on the borders complements the colorful floral appliqué.
For accessories, Madhuri carried a Ruhani handcrafted bag by designer Meera Mahadevia, embellished with intricate gems. She wore gold chandbali earrings with tiny pearls and precious stones, plus a gold bracelet and statement ring. Her hair was styled in soft blowout waves with center parting, accompanied by fuchsia-pink lipstick, light pink eyeshadow, sleek black eyeliner, and a dainty bindi.
Madhuri captioned the photos, “Beauty in the pleats, magic in the mood”. Maa Behan, directed by Suresh Triveni, premieres on Netflix and stars Triptii Dimri and Dharna Durga as Madhuri’s daughters in a story about a mother-daughter trio discovering a dead body in their kitchen.
