The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) success party turned into a global social media sensation after stars Virat Kohli and Bhuvneshwar Kumar performed the traditional Punjabi “Kikli” dance together. The video, shared by Kohli on his Instagram story, quickly went viral, leaving fans thrilled and teammates delighted by the playful camaraderie.
The clip was taken from RCB’s team success bash held in Ahmedabad after the team secured a five-wicket victory over the Gujarat Titans in the IPL 2026 final on Sunday. During the celebrations, Kohli invited Bhuvneshwar Kumar to perform “Kikli” together, and the duo nailed the move perfectly. Kohli could be seen roaring in laughter as he danced, soaking in the victory celebrations with infectious energy.
Kikli, also spelled Kikkli, is one of the folk dances of Punjabis. It is performed by two dancers holding hands and twirling each other in a circle while balancing their positions in circular motions. The dance is generally popular and is performed in pairs. Traditionally significant in Punjab, Kikli displays joy and celebrations.
The video of Kohli and Bhuvneshwar performing the move quickly captured attention online, showcasing a joyful and carefree side of the two cricketers amid RCB’s triumphant celebrations. Kohli wrote “kikli boys” when he posted the video.
