Kangana Ranaut’s upcoming film Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata is set to tell the story of courage inside Mumbai’s Cama and Albless Hospital during the 26/11 terror attacks. The trailer has been launched, and the film is now drawing attention for its focus on the brave hospital staff who protected patients while violence spread across the city.
The film is directed by Manoj Tapadia and is inspired by the real events of 2008, when terrorists attacked Mumbai. Reports say the story will show how nurses, ward boys, cleaners, security personnel and other hospital employees acted quickly to keep patients safe, including pregnant women and newborns.
Kangana Ranaut is said to play a nurse in the film, placing her at the centre of the hospital’s struggle during the crisis. The project is being described as a tribute to the unsung heroes who stood firm on one of the darkest nights in India’s recent history.
The trailer launch has also added to the buzz around the film, with Ranaut making an appearance at the event. The film is expected to release in theatres on 12 June 2026.
With its focus on a true event, the film aims to combine emotion, history and heroism in a story that moves beyond star power. The setting of Cama and Albless Hospital, along with the human response during the attacks, gives the film its central dramatic force.
