Pati Patni Aur Woh Do opened to a mixed response on Thursday, with early reviews praising the performances of Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan even as some critics called the film uneven. The film, directed by Mudassar Aziz, brings a comic take on relationships, confusion and family drama.
The movie is centred on forest in-charge officer Prajapati, who tries to help his college friend Chanchal reunite with her lover Sunny, played by Vishal Vashishtha. The cast also includes Wamiqa Gabbi, Rakul Preet Singh, Vijay Raaz, Tigmanshu Dhulia, Ayesha Raza Mishra and others.
Reviewers described the film as a comedy built on misunderstandings, with some calling it a “laugh riot” and others saying it gets tangled in its own confusion. One review gave the film 2.5 stars, noting that the story has a promising idea but does not fully hold together.
Sara Ali Khan drew special praise in the first reactions, with many viewers saying she “steals the show” through her performance. Ayushmann Khurrana also earned early appreciation for his screen presence and comic timing, while the ensemble cast added energy to the film’s humour.
The film released in cinemas worldwide on 15 May 2026, according to promotional materials shared around the release. Early audience chatter suggests that while the film may divide viewers, it has found attention for its performances, especially Khan’s and Khurrana’s.
