Saudi Arabia has launched its first franchise cricket league, the Dunes T20 League, approved by the Saudi Arabia Cricket Federation (SACF). The six-team tournament will start in October 2026 in Taif, near Jeddah.

Indian cricket legend Yuvraj Singh has been named the league’s ambassador. He joins through Prolithic, one of the talent agencies partnering with South Asian Network and Unique Sports Group for the event.

The league targets retired internationals still active in franchise cricket. It allows up to four players who played full-member international cricket in the last two years, avoiding ICC approval needs. Top salaries will reach up to USD 100,000.

SACF first shared plans last year to put Saudi Arabia on the global cricket map and nurture local talent. This move marks Saudi Arabia’s big entry into the cricket world.

The Dunes T20 League promises exciting T20 action with high-profile players. Fans await the full schedule and team announcements soon.
