Uber has announced a big partnership with Adani Group to build its first data centre in India. This move shows Uber’s plan to grow its technology work in the country. This was announced by Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi after his meeting with Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
Khosrowshahi shared the update on social media. He said India is fast becoming a key innovation hub for Uber. The data centre will help test and deploy Uber’s technology. It will support the company’s efforts to scale solutions from India for the world.
The facility is expected to start work later this year. This step marks Uber’s big push in India’s tech space. Ride-hailing giant Uber sees India as a place to build tech at large scale. The partnership with Adani will speed up Uber’s innovation footprint here.
Uber and Adani Group will be setting up Uber’s first India data centre to be made operational later in 2026. This aims to test tech and grow global innovation from India, through partnership with Adani Group.
