SAWAO celebrates International Women’s Day

The South Asian Women’s Organization (SAWAO) marked International Women’s Day with an inspiring event celebrating the achievements and resilience of women in the community.

The event featured keynote speakers, panel discussions, and cultural performances, highlighting themes of empowered.

SAWAO founded in 2015 by Suhag Mehta with just 15 members, has grown into a vibrant nonprofit community of 211 members and is proudly registered under 501(c)(3). Over the past two years, SAWAO has successfully organized a variety of events, including Women’s Day, Mother’s Day, Holi celebrations, talent shows, picnics, Christmas parties, and gala dinners.

SAWAO extended sincere gratitude to our generous sponsors and partners, including Navika Group, Eastend Management, Dunkin’ Donuts, Indo American Senior Group, Shriniketan Foundation, Arti Foundation, Parker Jewish Institute, and many individual supporters, as well as our dedicated committee members whose hard work ensures the success of every event.

SAWAO is dedicated to creating an inclusive platform that brings people together, encourages participation, and fosters personal growth across all age groups. We strive to build a strong sense of community, connection, and cultural engagement.
