Sammaan for All, a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering individuals from lower-economic strata through sustainable opportunities, has proudly established the Sammaan for All Scholarship at the Queens College Foundation on April 22, 2026. The initiative is part of Sammaan’s broader mission that “everyone deserves to live with respect and dignity,” reinforcing its commitment to education as a pathway to esteem, integrity and long-term success.
Founded by Neeta Bhasin, Sammaan for All works to equip underserved communities with the tools and resources needed to achieve their aspirations and build sustainable livelihoods. Inspired by her parents, who strongly believed in giving back to the community, Neeta Bhasin has carried forward these values through her work and leadership.
The Foundation not only provides monetary assistance but also empowers individuals with the knowledge, guidance, and opportunities to transform that support into long-term stability and self-reliance—enabling them to live with dignity and purpose.
On April 22, Neeta Bhasin, alongside her husband Harish Bhasin and Rita Suri, Vice President of Sammaan for All, met with Frank H. Wu, President of Queens College, as well as the inaugural cohort of five scholarship recipients, in the presence of college leadership and administrators.

During the intimate ceremony, President Wu expressed his gratitude, stating that “the scholarship not only provides financial assistance but also reflects a meaningful investment in students’ futures.” Students had the opportunity to engage in insightful and valuable conversations with Neeta Bhasin, gaining perspective on her journey in building a successful organization like Sammaan for All and becoming a pioneer in South Asian marketing.
Also, in attendance were Laurie Dorf, Vice President of Institutional Advancement; Joann Acquista, Director of Donor Relations and Rebecca Baron, Scholarships & Fellowships Advisor; further underscoring the collaborative effort behind supporting student success.
The scholarship recipients were carefully selected based on their academic excellence, leadership potential, and commitment to their respective fields, while also representing diverse backgrounds and experiences. 2026 Sammaan for All Scholarship Recipients:
1. Rishayna Rokib (Macaulay Honors, Undeclared Major)
2. Ravneet Singh (Economics)
3. Adnaan Ali (Sociology/Political Science)
4. Jennifer Chen (Environmental Science)

Through this scholarship, Sammaan for All continues to champion education as a powerful tool for empowerment, ensuring that deserving students have the support they need to thrive academically and professionally.
