The highly anticipated Golmaal 5 has completed its important shooting schedule in Ooty, marking a major milestone for Bollywood’s longest-running comedy franchise. Director Rohit Shetty and lead actor Ajay Devgn confirmed the wrap by sharing behind-the-scenes moments from the hill station.
“Riding through positive vibes since 20 years,” Shetty wrote on Instagram alongside a reel from the sets, highlighting the strong bond the cast has maintained across five films.
The Ooty schedule took place in the lush Nilgiri locations, where the team filmed for several days. The cast includes Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Kunal Kemmu, Tusshar Kapoor, Sharman Joshi, and Shreyas Talpade, the original gang fans love. This reunion is especially exciting because Sharman Joshi has returned to the franchise after missing Golmaal 4 and superstar Akshay Kumar has joined as the villain opposite Devgn.
Filming began in Ooty, with Shetty announcing the start of the schedule on social media . The team described the vibe as “classic madness mixed with nostalgia,” reflecting the chemistry that has kept the series popular for two decades.
Sources close to the production say Golmaal 5’s script is “funnier than the earlier four films” while keeping the comic essence intact. The film is expected to release in 2027, with principal shooting underway.
