Bollywood superstar Salman Khan recently addressed the long-standing claims about his influence in the film industry, particularly accusations of “ruining” careers. Speaking during the Weekend Ka Vaar segment of Bigg Boss 19, Salman firmly stated that he has not built anyone’s career, nor does he have the power to destroy it. Instead, he credited the Almighty for determining careers, dismissing the baseless allegations with his trademark humour and honesty.

Salman said, “If I ever do ruin a career, it will only be my own” and clarified that deliberately destroying others’ careers is beyond his control.

The conversation took place during Bigg Boss 19 when contestant Shehnaaz Gill, who made her Bollywood debut in Salman’s film Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan in 2023, introduced her brother Shehbaz Badesha as a wild card entrant on the show.

Shehnaaz acknowledged Salman’s role in helping many people’s careers, to which Salman responded by shutting down the idea that he “makes” or “breaks” careers in the industry, emphasizing that success is controlled by fate rather than any individual.

Over the years, Salman has been both credited with launching careers and accused of hindering them, but he reiterated that such narratives are exaggerated and not reflective of reality. Salman’s candid remarks underscored that no single person can claim credit or blame for the unpredictable nature of Bollywood success.
