The Indo-American Cultural Foundation of Central Jersey (IACFNJ) proudly announces its Grand Navratri Garba Celebrations to be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025, and Saturday, September 27, 2025, at Monroe Township High School, Monroe, NJ. The festivities will begin at 8:00 PM and continue until midnight, bringing the community together for an evening filled with devotion, music, dance, and cultural vibrancy.
Navratri, one of the most significant Hindu festivals, is dedicated to worshipping Goddess Durga and her manifestations—Durga, Lakshmi, and Saraswati. This nine-night festival celebrates the triumph of good over evil, devotion over ego, and knowledge over ignorance. Traditionally, devotees express their reverence through Garba and Raas dances, vibrant music, prayers, and community gatherings.
Thousands of community members from Central Jersey and beyond are expected to attend, representing towns including Monroe, South and North Brunswick, East and West Windsor, East Brunswick, Robbinsville, Princeton, Hightstown, Somerset, and Franklin Park. Attendees will enjoy traditional Garba, Dandiya-Raas, and Sanedo, creating an atmosphere reminiscent of Navratri festivities in India.

Highlights of the evening include:
- Traditional Aarti and Prayer to Goddess Amba Maa, followed by Prasad.
- Three Generations Dancing Together, showcasing cultural unity and family tradition.
- Food Court with delicious Indian delicacies by local restaurants and vendors.
- Shopping Bazaar featuring clothing, jewelry, and festive items.
- Best Dress & Best Dance Competitions sponsored by Royal Basmati Rice & Daawat Rice– LT Foods, with exciting prizes on both evenings.
Dignitaries, local leaders, and community representatives are expected to join and support IACFNJ’s efforts to preserve and promote Indian culture and heritage in New Jersey.
“This is more than just a festival—it is a celebration of our cultural roots, traditions, and community spirit. We invite everyone to join us in these festivities and experience the joy of Navratri,” said Dr. Tushar Patel, President of IACFNJ.
