As the Asia Cup 2025 is inching closer day by day, the anticipation of the eventual India Pakistan clash is rising considering the epic rivalry between the two nations and the current political tensions. There are a lot of protests going on against the match but as the scenario presents itself the two teams will be facing each other on September 14th in the group stage and if they qualify in the Super 4 stage they will face each other once more on September 21.

Amidst all the controversies surrounding the matches, there is a new video circulating on the internet which has got the people talking. One of the leaders of the Pakistani bowling attack, Haris Rauf was recently reminded by a fan that Pakistan has possibly two upcoming matches against India. Listening to him the Pakistani bowler responded with confidence that by God’s grace Pakistan is going to win both of them.

“Dono apne hain, Inshallah (Both matches are ours, God willing),” Rauf could be heard saying in that video.

The two nations haven’t competed in a bilateral series for more than a decade now with the last series played 12 years back in 2013 but both India and Pakistan compete regularly in multi-nation tournaments. However, this year after the Pahalgam attack and Operation Sindoor the tensions between both neighboring countries have sky-rocketed and many have opposed this clash in the Asia Cup.

Because of these cross-border tensions there were doubts on whether India would participate in the Asia Cup. But the Sports Ministry last week declared that India and Pakistan will not engage in any bilateral sporting ties, even on neutral venues, under a new and unprecedented policy however, in multinational tournaments both teams will compete against each other.
