The Army Chief of Pakistan Field Marshal Asim Munir, recently threatened India with nuclear weapons, people were shocked when Munir went on to call his own country a “dumper truck”. Now, India’s Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has clapped back at Pakistan’s Army Chief saying that his remarks showcase his “predatory” mentality and a confession of his country’s “failure”.

Rajnath Singh while highlighting Munir’s statement took a slight dig at the state Pakistan is in. While comparing the country to India, Singh stated that both countries got independence in the same year, still only one managed to grow its economy like a car and the other remained a failure like a dumper truck. He highlighted that this is because of their own doing.

“If two countries got independence together and one built an economy like a sports car with hard work, right policies and vision, while the other remained stuck in failure, it is their own doing. This is not a joke, it is a confession,” he said.

Singh highlighted that the statements made by the Pakistani Army Chief showcased the “predatory mentality” of their country which has been there since the nation’s birth. Singh also stated that India showcased its military prowess through Operation Sindoor and there should not be any illusion in Pakistan’s mind.

“The Pakistan Army chief, knowingly or unknowingly, has pointed towards a predatory mentality (kabilai aur looteri mansikta) that Pakistan has been a victim of since its inception,” Singh said.

“We must ensure that along with India’s prosperity, our fighting spirit for our defence capability and national honour remains equally strong. Operation Sindoor has already shown our resolve. We will not allow any illusion about India’s strength to take root in Pakistan’s mind,” he added.

Earlier this month, Munir was speaking to the Pakistani diaspora in Florida’s Tampa where he compared India to a Mercedes and Pakistan to a Dumper Truck. He said, “India is shining like a Mercedes, coming on a highway like a Ferrari, but we are a dumper truck full of gravel. If the truck hits the car, who is going to be the loser?”
