Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma mesmerized audiences by playing the iconic Bollywood song “Pehla Nasha” on a 150-year-old piano at Raj Bhavan. The performance was witnessed by Governor C H Vijayashankar, who praised Sangma’s piano skills during the event. A video of Sangma’s rendition has since gone viral on social media, captivating viewers with his musical talent.

Sangma’s musical abilities are well known beyond this piano performance. He is an accomplished guitarist and has previously drawn attention for his renditions of popular tracks. In 2023, videos circulated showing him effortlessly playing the guitar solo of Iron Maiden’s “Wasted Years.” Additionally, in 2021, he shared a video of himself singing Bryan Adams’ classic “Summer of 69.” His social media pages also feature several performances, including a near-masterful cover of Joe Satriani’s “Always With Me, Always With You.”

Conrad Sangma, the 12th Chief Minister of Meghalaya, is the son of former Lok Sabha Speaker and Meghalaya Chief Minister P.A. Sangma. He has successfully balanced his political career with his passion for music, garnering admiration for both. The viral piano performance adds to the growing list of his musical highlights, showing a different side of the political leader.
