Unnati Dance Academy proudly organized the Ashish Patil Lavani Dance Workshop in Connecticut as part of the prestigious “Sundari Event USA Tour,” presented by Kallol Entertainment.
Under the inspiring leadership of Directors Krish Khatri and Krutika Narkar, Unnati Dance Academy brought the vibrant energy and elegance of Lavani dance to dancers and enthusiasts in Connecticut. This workshop provided a rare opportunity for participants to learn directly from the famous Lavani king, Ashish Patil, whose expertise and passion for dance have captivated audiences worldwide.

The Sundari Event USA Tour, organized by Kallol Entertainment, travels across the United States to share India’s rich cultural heritage through dance, music, and performance. Hosting the Connecticut chapter of this renowned tour was a significant milestone for Unnati Dance Academy, reflecting the academy’s dedication to promoting classical, Bollywood, hip-hop, and contemporary dance. Unnati Dance Academy offers dance classes across Connecticut, New Jersey, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts, connecting and nurturing the Indian dance community across the region.
Participants of the workshop were immersed in high-energy sessions, learning intricate Lavani steps, expressions, and rhythm techniques, while experiencing the warmth and guidance of both the academy founders and Ashish Patil himself. The event highlighted not only the technical skills of the dancers but also their passion, commitment, and enthusiasm for Indian performing arts.
Through this collaboration, Unnati Dance Academy reinforced its vision of nurturing talent, creating memorable dance experiences, and connecting the Indian dance community across the USA. The workshop was truly an inspiring and unforgettable celebration of culture, rhythm, and creativity.
This workshop was held at Vallabhdham Temple, Newington, CT (Rajiv Desai), with the support of SIF Connecticut Maharashtra Mandal, CTMM (Jyotsna Kurkute), and Nadbramh CTMM Dhol Pathak, and was sponsored by Devi Travels and Brooklyn Gathering Club, making it a truly community-driven celebration of Indian dance and culture.
