There’s big news coming from cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar’s house. If the sources and reports are to be trusted, Arjun Tendulkar, the son of ‘God of Cricket’ has got engaged to Saaniya Chandok in a private ceremony this Wednesday, on August 13th. However, there has been no official statement from the Tendulkar or Chandok family as of yet.
Social media went on a frenzy when this news first broke on the internet as it came as a surprise to everyone seeing the young cricketer taking a big step in his personal life. People sent their best wishes to junior tendulkar for the new journey in his personal life.
As per the reports, Saaniya Chandok is the granddaughter of a prominent and reputed entrepreneur from Mumbai. Ravi Ghai. The Ghai family is widely known for the services they provide in the hospitality and food industries. The family owns the InterContinental hotel and Brooklyn Creamery.
It was reported that the couple got engaged in a private ceremony, and hence only close friends and families from the two sides attended the engagement ceremony. It came as a surprise to everyone seeing the news of the 25-year-old getting engaged.
Arjun is a left-arm pacer with capability of providing healthy contributions with the bat as well. The bowler represents Goa in domestic cricket and in a total of 17 First-Class games played he has picked 37 wickets while also scoring 532 runs. Arjun has played 24 T20s, scalping 27 wickets and scoring 119 runs. He has featured in 18 one days (List A) and has picked up 25 scalps and scored 102 runs.
Burdened with the Tendulkar name on his back, Arjun has always been judged on a harsher length. The cricketer, just like his father, has also played for the Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League. He made his IPL debut in 2023 and has picked three wickets in the 5 matches played as of now.
