Former Chief of Niti Ayog and G20 Sherpa, Amitabh Kant this Tuesday, on August 12th, shared a map on her social media account that showed how Vande Bharat Express is stitching the whole country together.

Mr. Kant. who stepped down from the post of the G20 Sherpa of India a few months back in June 2025, shared the post on Vande Bharat Express on his X profile today. He highlighted how the train has connected many regions of India and its map showcases that it is stitching the country together one track at a time.

“From Kashmir to Kanyakumari, Vande Bharat is stitching India together, one track at a time!” Mr. Kant wrote on X with the picture of the map.

Under Kant’s post there were some interesting comments from the X users. Some lauded the country’s development and growth in infrastructure while some complained that the Government should work on improving them and produce a train that runs at a speed of 150 km/h at least.

A X user criticised, “But avg speed is only 85 km/h. India needs a min 150 km/h speed train. Govt should give more focus and infra upgrade plan to improve speed.”

“This is the kind of infra India needs,” Another user complemented the growth in infrastructure.

This post from Kant comes after the recent launch of three Vande Bharat trains that were flagged off by the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi this Sunday, on August 10th. The three new trains that were flagged off 2 days ago by PM Modi will run between Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra from Amritsar, Bengaluru from Belgaum and Pune from Ajani in Nagpur. There was a total of 147 Vande Bharat trains that were running in the country and with the addition of three more this Sunday the total count has now reached 150.
